Of course! For many of our campers, this will be the first time they have participated in theater/live performances. We love new faces at Miami Music Festival and emphasize the importance of teamwork and confidence building during our camp. Most importantly – this is camp and we want all our campers to have fun!
-
All campers are guaranteed a spot in the camp’s Showcase. Our dedicated staff selects the repertoire to assure everyone has an opportunity to shine and show off the skills they learned at camp.
-
The program is offered free to the community thanks to the generous support of The Children’s Trust and the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs.
-
Summer Camp participants are grouped by age to form an ensemble that will be together for the entire session. Each group stays together for the whole day taking part in acting and music classes.
-
Campers receive a free hot lunch and afternoon snack. If your child has an allergy, we request that they bring their lunch each day to prevent contamination. Campers must bring their own water bottle.

Community Impact
In June 2022, Miami Music Festival helped a young, chronically ill boy named Nathan fulfill his lifelong dream - to become a singer!
MMF accepted Nathan into the Youth Program during the summer session with a full tuition scholarship. For eight weeks, Nathan attended daily private voice lessons, coachings, masterclasses, and rehearsals in preparation for his big night. MMF Faculty and Staff worked closely with Nathan and his family to provide a comfortable and productive learning environment, including staging him into one of MMF’s mainstage operas at the Faena Forum.
The eight weeks finally culminated in a One Night Only performance at The Colony Theater, where Nathan walked the red carpet and signed autographs before taking centerstage to sing his favorite Opera Arias.
MMF is grateful for the collaboration from the City of Miami Beach, Make-a-Wish Foundation, Tom Bercu Presents, and The Colony Theater to make this evening possible.
