A Midsummer Night's Dream follows four Athenian lovers and a troupe of would-be actors into a fairy wood, ruled by the feuding King Oberon and Queen Titania. At the center of the tale is love-in-idleness, a magic flower struck by Cupid's arrow that can make anyone fall in love with the next person (or thing) they see. The course of true love never did run smooth, as friends are torn apart, actors are scared witless, and the Queen of the Fairies finds herself sharing her bower with a monster.
