Cendrillon

The classic Cinderella-story, beloved the world over, is brought to life in this whimsical French romantic opera. An opera in four acts, Cendrillon is an ethereal operatic production by French romantic master Jules Massenet based on the treasured fairytale Cinderella, or, The Little Glass Slipper.

Complete with sumptuous and varied musical styles, Massenet’s brimming score draws on influences from dramatic Wagnerian love-themes, supernatural Rossinian arpeggios, and fanciful Tchaikovsky-esque ballet sequences.

With text that invites the audience to “escape dark realities” and to believe in the “fabulous,” audiences delight in Massenet’s dreamy musical setting of the timeless glass slipper fairytale, reimagined by singers from the MMF Opera Institute.

Join us as we gather to commemorate those who served and ensure their courage and sacrifice are never forgotten.
